The Norfolk Review, Last Year

Last year at the Norfolk Review Held at Norfolk State University at 700 Park ave, Norfolk Va. I attended the event last year and really enjoyed it. Many of the poems were very good, I enjoyed hearing the different variety. I myself read one of my own poems and recieved a good response. Each year NSU has this event, and it keeps getting better and better, I hope to see everyone there.

My favorite poem is entitled Celebrity without the fame. This poem is about a girl who is very famous and everyone thinks that she has it all. But behind closed door her life is very different. She has a boyfriend who cheat on her and abuses her. At the end of the poem she finally realizes that she can do better.
